Pilates

Pilates is a method of exercise designed to stretch and strengthen the body. It is systematic practice of specific exercises. We use Pilates not only as great fitness program but also as an important tool for different sports training and rehabilitation. It strengthens the core muscles (abdominals and back muscles), and the upper and lower extremities. By practicing Pilates regularly you may get various benefits such as increased strength, flexibility, better posture, balance, coordination, and increased core strength.

Pilates offers different tools and equipments to help individuals with different fitness level to exercise. You may exercise either with an equipment, which creates resistance by using springs, or in a mat group class where you use your own body weight as weights in training to build strength and flexibility. Pilates mat classes are a good place to start with this exercise program since the group classes are relatively inexpensive.
